- Read the listing
- Check the area on a map
- Look at comparable sales
- Prepare your questions
During the viewing
- Damp/mould near windows and bathroom
- Cracks in walls (foundation)
- Window frames and roof condition
- Sound insulation
- Light and orientation
- Storage and layout
After the viewing
- Visit at a different time of day
- Talk to neighbours if possible
- Consider structural survey
